| Obverse description | A rampant lion to the left occupies the central field within a beaded inner circle. The surrounding border consists of twelve small circles, the uppermost containing a small rampant lion and the remaining eleven each enclosing a trefoil or leaf ornament. The overall design follows the Gothic heraldic tradition characteristic of the County of Loon coinage. The outer legend in uncial Latin characters is separated from the inner border by a plain rim. |
