| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central tilted shield bearing the combined arms of Gelre and Jülich, surmounted by a tournament helmet with crest. The shield is flanked on each side by a rampant lion as supporter. The design is contained within a reeded inner circle, with the legend divided between the upper and lower fields outside the circle. The overall style is characteristic of late medieval Low Countries hammered silver coinage. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | A long cross pattée extending to the reeded inner circle, with a rosette at its center. The four quarters created by the cross each contain a heraldic symbol representing one of the four principal cities of Gelderland: an eagle for Arnhem, an eagle with a lion shield for Nijmegen, a rampant lion over a cross for Zutphen, and a rampant lion over a lily for Roermond. The mint name legend is inscribed in the outer field surrounding the reeded circle. |
