ARCH. MOGV. P. ELECT. surrounding the shield, identifying Wolfgang von Dalberg as Archbishop of Mainz and Prince-Elector. |

The composition is enclosed within a beaded border, with the segmented Latin legend MONE - NOVA - AVRE - MOGV. distributed between the shields in the outer circle, identifying this as a new gold coin of Mainz. |
