| Opis rewersu | Saint John the Baptist is depicted standing facing, nimbed with a radiate halo, robed in long draped garments, and raising his right hand in a gesture of benediction while holding an attribute in his left hand. The figure is rendered in a flat, hieratic Gothic style characteristic of Rhenish goldgulden of the late 14th century. Stars or mullets flank the saint in the field. The surrounding legend in Gothic uncial lettering reads .S.IOHA NNES B, abbreviating Sanctus Iohannes Baptista, enclosed within a beaded border. |
