Four six-pointed stars occupy the angles formed by the cross arms. A beaded inner circle frames the central device, beyond which the peripheral Latin legend reads in uncial characters. The overall style is characteristic of late medieval Rhenish goldgulden coinage, with bold, slightly irregular hammered relief. |
