| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse displays a cruciform arrangement of four heraldic shields surrounding a central ornamental motif, following the traditional Rhenish goldgulden type. The four shields bear the arms of the Electorate of Trier, the eagle of the Empire, the cross of the Order of Saint John, and a lion, respectively. The Latin legend distributed around the field reads MO NO AVR C ON 1619, expanding as Moneta Nova Aurea Confluentiae — denoting the new gold coinage struck at Coblenz (Koblenz) — with the date 1619 integrated into the legend. The composition is typical of the late electoral goldgulden tradition of the Rhine, rendered in bold hammered relief. |
