Kuno II von Falkenstein served as Archbishop of Trier from 1362 until his death in 1388, navigating one of the more turbulent stretches of Rhenish politics — including the formation of the Rhenish League of 1381, in which Trier played a central role alongside Mainz, Cologne, and the Palatinate.
