| Beschrijving keerzijde | A floriated cross with trefoil terminals divides the field into four quarters, each containing an heraldic shield: the arms of Trier (a red cross on silver), the arms of Baden (a diagonal band), and two additional electoral or ecclesiastical shields. A central quatrefoil boss marks the intersection of the cross arms. The surrounding circular legend in Gothic uncial lettering reads MOnE nOVA AVREA COVELE, identifying this as a new gold coin of Koblenz (Coblenz), the mint city of the Archbishopric of Trier. |
