| Opis awersu | Central field occupied by a large heraldic shield bearing a quartered coat of arms, incorporating horizontal barry stripes and an eagle displayed, characteristic of the arms of the County of Moers; flanking the shield are two smaller escutcheons, the dexter bearing an eagle and the sinister bearing barry stripes. A six-petalled rosette appears at the base of the composition, and the entire device is surrounded by a circular beaded border. The Gothic uncial legend encircles the design, reading FREDIC D MRS Z SARV, identifying the issuing count Frederick IV of Moers and Saarwerden. |

| Opis rewersu | The reverse depicts a nimbed, bearded saint shown in half-length facing front, rendered in the Gothic style typical of Rhenish goldgulden of the early fifteenth century; the figure holds a diagonal staff or cross in the left hand and a book or Gospel in the right, with drapery falling in stylised folds. A small heraldic shield appears at the base of the effigy. The figure is set within a plain inner field framed by a beaded border, with the circular Gothic uncial legend MON nOVA AVREA MRS — meaning 'New Gold Money of Moers' — encircling the whole design. |
