The saint is depicted with characteristic medieval iconographic detail within a beaded inner circle. The surrounding legend in uncial Gothic lettering reads FRI AL IO D: G - DVCV SAXON, naming the three co-ruling dukes Frederick III, Albert, and John I, by the grace of God Dukes of Saxony. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Imperial orb surmounted by a cross, centered within a cusped quatrefoil frame, all rendered in the late Gothic style typical of late 15th-century Saxon coinage. The quatrefoil lobes are adorned with foliate decoration. A beaded inner circle separates the central device from the surrounding legend. The peripheral inscription in uncial Gothic lettering identifies this as a new gold coin of Leipzig: + MONE: NOVA: AVR: LIPCENSIS. |
