The quatrefoil lobes are adorned with foliate decoration. A beaded inner circle separates the central device from the surrounding legend. The peripheral inscription in uncial Gothic lettering identifies this as a new gold coin of Leipzig: + MONE: NOVA: AVR: LIPCENSIS. |
