Reverse description An ornate floriated cross with fleur-de-lis terminals occupying the four quadrants of the field, each arm terminating in decorative floral elements and set within a cusped quatrefoil frame. At the center of the cross is a small rampant lion. Scrollwork fills the spandrels between the quatrefoil lobes and the beaded inner circle. The Latin legend, incorporating the date 1500, runs continuously around the outer border.
