Obverse description Armored and draped bust of Philip II facing right, wearing an elaborate crown with fleurs-de-lis and cross finials, the king depicted with a short beard and moustache. The effigy is rendered in fine relief, showing the king in regal attire with a ruffled collar and mantle clasp visible at the shoulder. The circular Latin legend runs along the full periphery of the coin, separated from the central field by a beaded inner border.
