| Obverse description | Central round hole surrounded by a wreath of laurel and oak branches rendered in fine relief, the wreath framing the perforation symmetrically. Arabic legend دولة لبنان الكبير arcs across the upper field, while the Latin inscription ETAT DU GRAND LIBAN curves along the right side. The coin is bordered by a continuous beaded rim. The overall design is clean and uncluttered, typical of the refined engraving style of the Monnaie de Paris. |

| Reverse description | Central round hole flanked by two facing lion heads emerging from decorative foliage, the whole composition framed by a wreath of stylised branches. The Arabic denomination غرش وَاحد (one ghirsh) appears in the upper field above the perforation. The numeral 1 is placed to each side of the hole, and the denomination PIASTRE is inscribed in Latin letters below, with the date 1925 and its Arabic-Indic equivalent ١٩٢٥ flanking it in the lower field. The word ESSAI appears in small letters in the exergue, identifying this as a pattern strike. A beaded border encircles the entire design. |
