Beschrijving voorzijde Hammered copper flan bearing multiple lines of Arabic script in the field, arranged in a dense, somewhat irregular layout characteristic of Bahmani Sultanate copper coinage. The legends are executed in a bold, angular style with deep relief, filling the entire coin surface. The inscription likely references the sultan's name and titles. The flan is irregular in shape with visible die-shift and surface patination consistent with age and circulation.

Aanvullende informatie

The Bahmani Sultanate's copper issues from this reign fall within the rule of Humayun Shah, known in contemporary sources as "the Cruel" — a reputation earned through a documented pattern of executing courtiers on personal whim. His reign lasted only four years before he died of illness in 1461, leaving a treasury and administration in considerable disorder. Copper gani issues of this period are poorly documented in the major references, and attribution to specific regnal years within the reign is not currently possible from physical characteristics alone.
