| Description du revers | The central device features a large crowned coat of arms displaying the quartered Arms of Denmark and its territories, encircled by the collar of the Order of the Elephant suspended below the shield. Two wildmen (savages) armed with clubs stand as supporters on either side of the shield, and a sweeping crowned mantle extends behind both shield and supporters. The denomination 1 FR: D'OR appears in the upper field, while the date 18|53 is divided below the shield, flanked by the Altona mintmark (Jupiter symbol) and the initials F.F. of the mint master. A beaded border frames the entire reverse composition. |
