| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse is printed in blue and salmon-pink on a light ground, with a repeated underprint text reading VILLE DE METZ across the entire field. At upper centre, the municipal coat of arms of Metz surmounted by a mural crown is flanked by the header legend RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE. A central ornate guilloche cartouche in blue carries the denomination UN FRANC in bold white letters on a black ground, surrounded by elaborate acanthus scroll work. Signature lines for Le Maire and Le Receveur Municipal appear at lower left and right respectively, with the series letter and serial number below the central vignette. |
