| Opis rewersu | The Arms of Monaco are displayed centrally, depicting the quartered escutcheon of the Grimaldi family — fusilly in lozenges argent and gules — supported by two armoured knights each bearing a raised sword, all beneath a princely crown. The numeral 1 appears in the field to either side of the arms, flanking the shield. The word FRANC is inscribed in large letters below the coat of arms, with ESSAI appearing in smaller characters beneath, denoting the trial or pattern status of the piece.
