| Obverse description | Bare-headed left-facing bust of Prince Louis II of Monaco occupies the central field, rendered in high relief with fine portrait detail characteristic of Louis Maubert's engraving style. A border of raised beads frames the design along the coin's inner periphery. The legend LOUIS II PRINCE DE MONACO arcs along the upper portion of the obverse, while the engraver's signature L. MAUBERT appears discreetly at the base of the portrait truncation. |

| Reverse description | The Arms of Monaco are displayed centrally, depicting the quartered escutcheon of the Grimaldi family — fusilly in lozenges argent and gules — supported by two armoured knights each bearing a raised sword, all beneath a princely crown.
