正面描述 Bare head of King Charles X facing left, modelled in the neoclassical style by engraver Michaut. The king's portrait is rendered with fine detail, his hair loosely curled. The legend CHARLES X ROI DE FRANCE arcs around the periphery, and the engraver's signature MICHAUT. appears truncated below the bust.

附加信息

Charles X's 1830 franc exists against one of the shortest political countdowns in French numismatic history — the king was deposed in the July Revolution that same year, having reigned only six years after succeeding his brother Louis XVIII. The four-leaf reverse die (referenced as F#208A) is a recognized variety distinguished from the more common reverse by the arrangement of ornamental elements between the inscription, making it a legitimate attribution target rather than a minor curiosity.

Production at Paris was cut short by the political collapse of July, concentrating surviving examples heavily toward earlier strikes in the year.
