Two allegorical female figures, each accompanied by a putto bearing a shield, are seated at left and right, flanking a central cartouche with the arms of Valence. The denomination UN FRANC is printed in bold capital letters at centre, with the issuing authority name in an ornate scrollwork cartouche at top and the series and serial number in a panel at the foot of the note. |

The two allegorical vignettes with putti and shields appear at left and right as on the obverse, and the body of the note is occupied by the full text of the authorising deliberation dated 23 February 1915, listing the president, vice-presidents, secretary, treasurer and all named members of the chamber. A panel at the foot states redeemability against Banque de France notes. |
