A central vignette at the top centre contains the city arms of Nantes — a sailing ship at sea — enclosed within a circular legend, flanked by two spread-winged herons perched on laurel branches. The denomination 'BON DE UN FRANC' is printed in large bold letterpress across the centre, with a pale '1 Fr' underprint behind it, below the issuer name 'CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE DE NANTES'. Two manuscript signature lines for the Chef de la Comptabilité and the Président appear in the lower portion, with the series letter and serial number printed in a cartouche at the bottom, above the printer's imprint. |

The interior of the oval carries the full redemption text rendered in an elegant cursive script, setting out the conditions under which the bons may be exchanged at the Banque de France and confirming that their reimbursement is guaranteed by an equivalent deposit held at the Banque de France in the name of the Chambre de Commerce de Nantes. |
