| Obverse description | Green letterpress note with an elaborate floral and foliate border running the full perimeter. A circular vignette at the top centre bears the municipal coat of arms of Châteauroux. The issue date and alphanumeric serial number are positioned to the left and right of the vignette respectively, with the issuer's name and large-format denomination text occupying the central field. Two manuscript signatures appear below, those of the Treasurer and the President, with a framed approval notice at the foot of the note. |
