The issuer's name, 'CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE DE CHALON-S/-SAÔNE, AUTUN & LOUHANS', is inscribed across the upper field beneath the municipal coat of arms of Chalon-sur-Saône flanked by two additional civic heraldic shields. The central denomination 'UN FRANC' in bold capitals is flanked at lower centre by a small intaglio vignette of a public building, with spaces for the Treasurer's and President's manuscript signatures below, and the series and serial number at foot. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | Printed in two colours — green for the outer guilloche border and orange-brown for the central design — the reverse carries a large oval underprint with foliate ornament surrounding the bold denomination '1 FRANC' in the centre field. Corner medallions in green display the numeral '1' and the series letter 'F'. A circular text panel below centre sets out the redemption conditions in full, stipulating presentation for reimbursement against Banque de France notes before 8 April 1925. |
