| Obverse description | Green letterpress bon de nécessité on cream paper, framed by an intricate guilloche border with rosette corner medallions bearing the series letter 'F'. The issuer's name, 'CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE DE CHALON-S/-SAÔNE, AUTUN & LOUHANS', is inscribed across the upper field beneath the municipal coat of arms of Chalon-sur-Saône flanked by two additional civic heraldic shields. The central denomination 'UN FRANC' in bold capitals is flanked at lower centre by a small intaglio vignette of a public building, with spaces for the Treasurer's and President's manuscript signatures below, and the series and serial number at foot. |
