Reverse description A tall, naturalistic palm tree occupies the central field, its fronds spreading broadly against a plain background. Flanking the trunk at mid-height are the large denomination numerals and letter '1 F', indicating one franc. The date, split by the tree trunk as '19' to the left and the final two digits to the right, appears in the lower central field. The circular legend BELGISCH CONGO runs along the lower periphery, with two five-pointed stars flanking the inscription on the right side. The design is enclosed by a beaded border.
