Obverse description Full-length frontal figure of St. Stefan (Saint Stephen) standing in the field, depicted in ecclesiastical robes with stylized Byzantine artistic conventions typical of late medieval Adriatic coinage. The saint is rendered in low relief consistent with hammered copper follari of the period. The abbreviated legend S-STE-FANE appears in uncial Latin characters, flanking the figure. The overall design reflects the civic and religious iconography associated with the municipality of Shkodër during the late 14th century.
