Reverse description The quartered shield of the Fijian colonial arms occupies the centre of the field, displaying in the first quarter a lion passant guardant, in the second a sugarcane motif, in the third a coconut palm, and in the fourth a dove with an olive branch and a Fijian club. The date 1937 flanks the shield to left and right at mid-field, with the issuer name FIJI arcing along the upper legend and the denomination FLORIN inscribed along the lower legend. A beaded border frames the design.
