A naturalistically rendered African elephant cow walking to the right, lowering her trunk toward a suckling calf beside her, both animals depicted standing on a grassy ground line in the centre of the field. The engraver's initials 'P.V.' appear at lower left. The date '1964' is inscribed in the lower central field, with the denomination 'FLORIN' arching in large letters along the lower rim. |
