| Obverse description | A royal crown adorned with nine jewels occupies the central field of the oval flan, rendered in a stylised early Stuart manner. The Latin legend commences at approximately the seven o'clock position and runs clockwise around the periphery of the coin. No privy mark appears on this side. A beaded inner border frames the design, consistent with roller-milled farthing production of the period. |

A beaded border runs along the edge of the oval flan. |
