Obverse description Square hammered copper fals with Arabic legend in two lines occupying the central field within a plain border. The upper line reads 'al-Sultan Nasir Shah' and the lower line reads 'al-Khalji bin Ghiyath Shah', identifying the ruler and his dynastic lineage. The script is angular and compact, typical of Malwa Sultanate hammered coinage of the early sixteenth century. The coin surface displays natural patina with minor corrosion consistent with age. The irregular square flan results in slightly uneven margins around the inscribed area.
