Reverse description Square hammered copper fals with a two-line Arabic legend in the central field. The upper portion bears the phrase 'al-Sultan bin' and the lower portion 'al-Sultan', affirming the royal legitimacy of the issuer as 'Sultan, son of the Sultan'. Below the legend, a small crescent and a rosette or star ornament are visible in the lower field, decorative devices characteristic of Malwa Sultanate fals coinage. The field surrounding the inscription shows the rough texture typical of hand-struck medieval Indian copper coinage. The plain square border frames the design on all four sides.
