A grouping of raised pellets is visible to the left of the central device, consistent with the dotted leaf decorative vocabulary used on both faces of this Bijapur copper falus. The design is rendered in a bold but roughly struck hammered style, with the outer rim showing irregular flan edges typical of hand-struck copper coinage of the Adil Shahi Sultanate. |
