| Obverse description | Octagonal hammered copper flan bearing a two-line Arabic inscription in the central field, reading the name of the ruler Khudadad Khan above Mahmud Khan, executed in a bold informal Naskh hand. Small decorative star-shaped ornaments and pellets are scattered in the field around the legend, filling the spaces between the inscription and the eight clipped corners of the flan. The relief is characteristically uneven, consistent with hand-struck provincial coinage of the Khanate of Kalat. |
