Obverse description Central field divided by a horizontal bar, bearing the sultan's name and epithet in Arabic Naskh script. Above the bar, a single line of legend; below, two lines reading 'Sultan Mahmud Shah' in stylized calligraphy. The flan is irregular and slightly ragged at the edges, characteristic of hammered copper coinage of the Delhi Sultanate period. No figurative imagery is present, in accordance with Islamic numismatic convention.

Reverse description Reverse bears the mint epithet 'Dar al-Mulk Dehli' (Abode of the Kingdom, Delhi) in Arabic Naskh script, arranged in multiple lines across the field. The date is off-flan and not visible on this example, as is common with small-module hammered copper falus of this issue. The flan is irregular, with the legend partially weak at the periphery due to the hammered striking technique typical of late Delhi Sultanate copper coinage.
