| Beschrijving keerzijde | Crude Arabic inscription filling the field, denoting the mint of issue and Hijri regnal year in bold, informal calligraphy consistent with the provincial hammered coinage tradition of Sinkiang. The word 'zarb' (struck) appears in conjunction with 'Kashgar', identifying the issuing mint, while the Hijri date is rendered in Eastern Arabic numerals and varies by emission: AH 1290, 1291, 1292, 1293, or 1294. The flan is irregular in outline and the strike is typically weak or flat at the margins. Pellet ornaments are occasionally visible in the border area of better-struck specimens. |
