| Obverse description | Central device depicting a stylized eagle or bird motif surrounded by radiating sun rays, the entire design enclosed within a wreath of leafy branches. The bold, somewhat crude execution is characteristic of Afghan copper coinage of the period. The counterstruck impression overlies an earlier host coin, resulting in a layered, slightly irregular surface in the field. |

| Reverse description | Arabic inscription occupying the central field, giving the regnal date AH 1322 rendered in large Eastern Arabic-Indic numerals (١٣٢٢), surrounded by floral and foliate scroll work. The legend identifying the issuing authority of Amir Habibullah is interspersed among the decorative vine motifs. The counterstruck legends are sharply impressed over the underlying host coin fabric, with some peripheral weakness consistent with the double-striking process. |
