Obverse description Central field dominated by a six-pointed star (hexagram) formed by two interlocking triangles, struck in relief on the irregular flan. Within the interstices of the hexagram, the Arabic word 'Adl (عدل, meaning 'Justice') is inscribed in a bold, cursive hand. The design is characteristic of the hammered copper coinage produced at Qandahar, with the inscription filling the available spaces of the geometric device.
