| Obverse description | Frontal bust of the ruler depicted in the Sogdian artistic tradition, wearing an elaborate winged crown surmounted by a crescent finial. The effigy is rendered in low relief, with the face shown full-face and the shoulders draped, characteristic of the post-Sasanian coinage of Transoxiana. The field shows heavy patination consistent with the bronze fabric of the issue. |
