The inscription is arranged in several horizontal lines, consistent with Qarakhanid fals coinage formulae invoking the names of the ruler and Abbasid caliph. A wide outer marginal band carries a continuous circular Arabic legend, separated from the inner circle by a plain raised ring. The overall layout follows the standard Islamic epigraphic coin design, with clear die engraving characteristic of hammered copper issues from the Uzkand mint. |
