| Obverse description | Central field dominated by a square frame enclosing a circular medallion bearing a stylized floral or rosette motif of Buddhist mandala derivation, reflecting the syncretic artistic traditions of the region. Arabic legends in Kufic script are disposed above and below the central square, as well as in the lateral fields, naming the issuing ruler Malik Aram. A further marginal legend runs around the periphery of the flan. The overall design represents a characteristic fusion of Central Asian Buddhist iconographic conventions with Islamic epigraphic practice. |
