| Description de l’avers | Central field enclosed within a single linear circle bearing multiple lines of Arabic Kufic inscription arranged in horizontal registers, the text occupying most of the inner field. An outer marginal legend in Arabic script runs around the full circumference between the inner circle and the beaded or rope-pattern rim, itself characteristic of Qarakhanid copper coinage of the late 10th century. The legends proclaim the Islamic profession of faith and the name of the issuing authority. The overall style reflects the angular, highly stylized Kufic script typical of Central Asian hammered fulus of this period. |

| Description du revers | Central field divided into horizontal registers of bold Kufic Arabic inscription, filling the inner circle and bearing the ruler's name and titles, including references to Hasan b. Malik Ilaq. A surrounding marginal legend in Arabic script encircles the inner field, separated by a linear border, with a beaded outer rim characteristic of Qarakhanid hammered copper issues. The script is rendered in the angular Kufic style prevalent in Transoxiana and the Ilaq region at the close of the 10th century AH. |
