The inscription is executed in early Kufic script, characteristic of Samanid copper coinage of the late 9th century. A beaded or rope-pattern border encircles the central inscription area. The overall design follows the standard epigraphic type of Abbasid-influenced provincial coinage, with no figural elements. The flan is irregular and slightly uneven, typical of hammered copper production of this period. |

Patination across the surface is dark reddish-brown with some green cuprite deposits. |
