Popis líce	Central field occupied by a prancing horse depicted in profile facing right, rendered in low relief in a stylised manner characteristic of early Islamic provincial coinage. The animal is shown with raised forelegs and a flowing tail, set above a decorative crescent or lunette motif. A border of raised pellets encircles the lower portion of the design, framing the central device. The field above the horse is largely plain with traces of additional decorative elements near the rim. The overall execution is bold but irregular, consistent with hammered copper coinage of the Tabaristan region.

Popis rubu	Central field bearing a large bold Arabic inscription in flowing Naskh script occupying the majority of the die area, reading the mint name Sari (ساری). A border of raised pellets encircles the inner field, mirroring the obverse border treatment. The inscription is rendered with pronounced, deeply cut strokes typical of hammered copper fulus of the region. The field surrounding the lettering is flat and largely unadorned. The overall design is consistent with anonymous civic coinage struck at the mint of Sari in northern Iran.
