| Descrizione del dritto | Central field contains a multi-line Arabic inscription arranged within a plain inner circle bordered by a dotted beaded ring. The legend, executed in Kufic script, bears the name and titles of the Qarakhanid ruler Alp Abu'l-Fawaris. A further circular marginal legend in Arabic script runs within the outer border of the flan, partially worn and irregular at the edges due to the hammered production technique. The overall style is consistent with early 5th-century AH Central Asian Islamic coinage. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | Central field displays a multi-line Kufic Arabic inscription arranged horizontally across the inner circle, conveying the Islamic profession of faith (Shahada) and mint or date formula, enclosed within a beaded inner border. A circular marginal legend in Arabic Kufic script surrounds the inner field, running along the periphery of the flan. The flan is irregular and slightly chipped at the edges, characteristic of hammered copper fals coinage of the Qarakhanid period. The script is boldly struck though partially worn on the high points. |
