Reverse description A bold Latin cross with splayed terminals centered within a four-lobed Gothic quatrefoil, each lobe separated by the arms of the cross, creating a symmetrical architectural frame. Small decorative elements fill the angles of the quatrefoil. The encircling legend SICILIA ET HISPANIARVM REGES is disposed around the periphery within a beaded border, proclaiming the monarchs' titles as Kings of Sicily and the Spains. The overall design reflects the late Gothic aesthetic prevalent in early Habsburg Castilian coinage.
