| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field features the Bolivian national coat of arms within an oval cartouche, depicting a llama at the base before a mountain landscape with a radiant sun above, flanked by crossed Bolivian flags and two cannons with cannonballs on either side. The shield is surmounted by a condor with outstretched wings. A surrounding legend reads REPUBLICA BOLIVIANA at the top, with UN ESCUDO at the base flanked by small five-pointed stars, and the denomination indicator 2 B. at the lower right. The entire design is bordered by a fine toothed or beaded rim. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse presents a bare, unadorned left-facing bust of a male figure occupying the central field, rendered in a neoclassical style with naturalistic hair detail. The surrounding legend LA UNION ES LA FUERZA arcs along the upper portion of the coin. Below the bust, the lower legend records the weight and fineness specifications 3G.125M., the date 1887, and the mint and assayer marks PTS· 9D.F.E., all separated by raised dots. The design is enclosed within a beaded border consistent with the obverse. |
