Obverse description Central field features the Bolivian national coat of arms within an oval cartouche, depicting a llama at the base before a mountain landscape with a radiant sun above, flanked by crossed Bolivian flags and two cannons with cannonballs on either side. The shield is surmounted by a condor with outstretched wings. A surrounding legend reads REPUBLICA BOLIVIANA at the top, with UN ESCUDO at the base flanked by small five-pointed stars, and the denomination indicator 2 B. at the lower right. The entire design is bordered by a fine toothed or beaded rim.
