| Reverse description | A laurel wreath encloses the central inscription stating the denomination, weight, and fineness of the coin in three lines. The patriotic motto LA UNION ES LA FUERZA arcs around the upper portion of the wreath, while the mint monogram PTS flanked by the assayer initials F and E, together with the date 1868, appears in the lower exergual area. The weight specification of 50 grains and the fineness of nine-tenths are clearly legible within the wreath, following the metrology conventions mandated by the Bolivian monetary reform of 1864. A reeded border surrounds the entire reverse field. |
