| Obverse description | Crowned provincial arms of Zeeland occupy the central field, depicting a rampant lion emerging from waves, rendered in low relief on a plain field. The shield is surmounted by a prominent mural crown. No legend surrounds the design, the arms filling the flan to the rim. The style is characteristic of Dutch provincial coinage of the early eighteenth century, with bold but somewhat crude workmanship typical of colonial-issue duits. |
